Beau Willimon found Karl in 2010 while Karl was stuck in Mexico looking for support to get back into Russia after the financial crisis of 2008. Beau Willimon, screenwriter, showrunner, and writer of the hit TV show House of Cards, met Karl in Mexico and with his partner, Jordan Tappis, foundered ‘Westward Productions’ based on Karls's westward direction of travel. The mission was to get Karl home and tell the amazing story on film. A story still in the making. Since that day the Los Angeles-based production company has produced a series of successful documentaries and TV shows.

Dr. Kyle holds a Doctorate in Osteopathy from Western University Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in Pomona, California. He completed his residency in family medicine and osteopathic fellowship at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor, Maine in 2010.

After practicing family medicine for 10 years in the Willamette Valley he finally was able to start his own practice with a focus on traditional osteopathy in Bend Oregon in August of 2020.

Dr. Kyle is providing consultation as needed as well as protein and supplement support.

Current Sponsorship Requests

We are actively seeking sponsorship and/or volunteer help with a boat support across the Caspian Sea in July/August of 2023. We need a boat that has the capability to support our swim crossing from the southwestern border of Kazakhstan to the port of Baku, Azerbaijan. We are seeking a ship/ sailboat/ yacht/ catamaran and a captain. We are also in need of personal support, someone to cook breakfast and dinner and ensure we take water breaks every two hours. We will be using a GPS system to ensure we start at the exact spot we finished the day before. The swim may take anywhere from 25-40 days, but we think we can accomplish it within a months timeframe.
